Smoke

What have I been up too today? Well other than rushing around looking for incense sticks (which I eventually found in about the 6th shop!), I have had a go at photographing smoke. Although I quite like my final images, I don't think this is the kind of photography for me...

I used another of my magazines to help me get the technique right, but my lights were just not powerful enough. I used a black backdrop and one continuous light, to light from below.

I have chosen my three favourite images and put them together in a diptych effect... 

I also bought the latest 'British Journal of photography', and I can't wait to start reading it!
