Golden hour

I have been very busy the last couple of days, particularly trying to finish an essay on photographic technology!
This morning however, I have been going through some pictures I took yesterday...

One of the first things I did yesterday (After writing my essay), was going location scouting!

I found this beautiful Rock Garden, which I am hoping to use as a location spot for some portraits in the future...

It was very peaceful, but very shady. So I am hoping to use it in the late morning, when there is a bit more sun.

I have also been investigating the 'Golden hour'. This is the time just after sunrise and just before sunset, and I really do believe it is the best time of day to photograph! #

The light is truly beautiful...

I am not much of a morning person though and specially as summer is approaching! So I will probably photograph more just before sunset...

Finally, I used one of my photography magazines ('A photomasterclass' Digital Photography), to have a go at combining RAW files, to create a 'perfect' exposure...

QUICK TIP: My new favourite toy on Photoshop is 'Rulers'! I used them to ensure my horizon lines were perfectly straight...
